Acorn Launches Consumer Marketing Push
Acorn Computers has launched an aggressive consumer marketing campaign by
appointing Roose & Partners as its new advertising agency. Worth in excess
of #1m, the account was won by Roose & Partners in a three way competitive
pitch with incumbent Primary Contact and The Brompton Agency.
Richard Percy, Acorn's Consumer Sales and Marketing Manager, comments: "We
needed to appoint an agency with the ability to position Acorn aggressively
in the consumer marketplace in the critical run up to Christmas. Working
closely with our marketing team, we believe Roose & Partners will help us
raise both market profile and brand awareness with their high quality
advertising."
Ted Roose, Managing Director of Roose & Partners, says: "The strengths of
the full range of Acorn home computers cannot be adequately demonstrated by
advertising alone. Therefore we have developed a total communications
programme which enables purchasers to obtain a highly entertaining and
informative demonstration simply and conveniently at home."
