  15.  The idea of !Speakers is to provide an icon on the icon bar that will enable
  16. the internal speakers to be switched on and off with the minimum of fuss in
  17. the desktop and show the dynamic state of the speakers when other programs (such
  18. as !Symphony) may change it.
  19.  Just click on the loudspeaker icon and it will toggle the state of the
  20. speakers. The icon shows whether the speakers are on or off by showing a tick
  21. or a cross in the loudspeaker. Speakers also detects when other programs change
  22. the status of the speakers by intercepting the *Speaker command and the relavent
  23. SWI calls. This involves a patch to the SoundDMA module. Please note that Acorn
  24. retain copyright of this module and hence it must not be distributed even in its
  25. patched form.
  26.  Note that this application really only works in Risc OS 3.1 machines. It may
  27. well work on Risc OS 3.5 (Risc PC) machines but only if the SoundDMA module is
  28. the same as in 3.1 (unlikely).
  29.  This application supports the DeskSave protocol and automatically detects if
  30. your desktop is set up for 3D or normal windows/icons. To change the current
  31. state, use Toggle3/2D which can be found in the application's directory.
