Notes for this version of MovieDB (1.21ß)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The changes in this version (since 1.20) are mainly bug fixes:
- fixed bug causing aka-titles to be shown with people search hits
- fixed missing aka names caused by buffer overflows
- fixed bug causing occassional crew member omissions
- fixed bug where double-credited people had wrong attributes
- made some minor template alterations (better fitting icon text)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
MovieDB documention is in StrongHelp format only. If you do not have
StrongHelp on your system (ie Filer_Booted in your boot procedure) and you
wish to see the docs then you will need to get a copy of StrongHelp, for
example, from:
Guttorm Vik's page: http://login.eunet.no/~guttorvi/strong.html
Hensa: ftp://micros.hensa.ac.uk/micros/arch/riscos/d/d126
If you do not wish to make StrongHelp permenantly available on your computer
then you can put a copy of it inside MovieDB's resources directory (ie as
<MovieDB$Dir>.Resources.!StrongHlp) as MovieDB looks here for it as a last
resort.
The licensing information is duplicated in a text file (ReadMe) in the Docs
directory.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Because, at the time of writing, the Norwegian and Hungarian lists are
(still!) not in the official set of IMDb files they do not posess the
standard header that MovieDB requires for correct operation. You can add the
header yourself like this:
CRC: 0x00000000 File: norwegian-aka-titles.list Date: Fri Nov 20 01:00:00 1996
CRC: 0x00000000 File: hungarian-aka-titles.list Date: Fri May 20 01:00:00 1997
The File field is important as it's used for identifying the list. The Date
isn't crucial but it should be something like its real update date. The File
and Date identifiers are not position critical but they must appear in the
header line. The format of the date must be exactly as it appears above for
it to work properly. The CRC field *must* be at the start of the line
although the CRC value itself can be anything. Bear in mind that these lists
will fail the CRC test if you try it on them.
