  34. EDS is a cardindex-style database program, with graph plotting capabilities
  35. and simple statistics.  The program aims to be extremely easy.  Various data
  36. types are supported.  The progam can plot pie and bar charts, frequency
  37. distributions, and scatter and line graphs.

  39. The program aims to be very straightforward to use and could be used in 
  40. schools to introduce children to database applications.  The program was
  41. originally conceived for this purpose and was written at the request of an 
  42. IT teacher at my school, who was looking for (and unable to find) a simple
  43. and easy to use database program.

  46. based).
