  1. Before binary (8-bit) files can be transferred safely between machines by
  2. mail, modem etc. they have to be converted to text (7-bit) files.  Two
  3. common utilities to perform this conversion are uuencode and btoa.  Conversion
  4. in the opposite direction is performed by uudecode and atob respectively.
  5. This package contains command line utilities for both forms of conversion
  6. and desktop utilities for uu encoding/decoding.
