For those of you fortunate enough to still have a nice Cambridge Z88, this program allows you to control your Arc from the Z88!
\h2\uUsage\H
Connect up your Z88 (see later) and enter the \iTerminal\I on the Z88. AFTER doing that, load !WithZ88, you should then see the welcome message appear on the Z88 screen. Now type away!
Choosing ‘Echo’ from the menu will echo all characters back to the Z88, and choosing ‘Disable’ will pause the program.
A file gleaned from the net \b(Wiring)\B is inside this application which will show you how to create a suitable cable for connecting up the Z88. This is NOT a Riscy Developments creation, but it's the cable design we use.
Also included in this application is a small utility 'Send':
Use []X on the Z88 then "B". Now type *Send <filename> (on your Arc!) as many times as requred to send all the files to the Z88. Finally, press ESC on the Z88 and you will find that all the files will (should?) have been uploaded to the Z88.
If you're having problems getting Arc and Z88 talking to each other try this:
\uArc\U
*Configure DATA 4
*Configure BAUD 8
