  5. What is it?
  6. -----------
  7. This little app will produce coloured scale 16 colour palette file. ie.
  8. like a grey scale, but with other colours....Black -> Colour -> White
  9. usually, although you can change the white so for eg. you could have
  10. Black -> Green -> Cyan.
  11. Well, just have a go! :)

  14. How to Use
  15. ----------

  17. Run the application, and an icon will appear on the icon bar, though you
  18. might get a message (which will disappear after 5 seconds) if you are not
  19. in a 256 (or greater) screen mode - (but it will work in less). Clicking
  20. on this icon brings up a window where you can click and drag to your hearts
  21. content to get the shade you require. You can click on either the colour
  22. bar, or the palette.
  23. Just a few things to know though:-

  25. The "Lock" button will keep the "Top" values locked to the opposite of the
  26. "Shade" bars - to keep things constant - when not selected, the bars are
  27. fully independent.
  28.  
  29. "Inv" will invert the Input values, ie not the palette itself, the palette
  30. can be inverted with the Invert button on the Output stage.

  32. The two arrows next to the palette are the Lighter and Darker controls.

  34. The "Save" button bring up a standard save window, which can be dragged to
  35. a filer or another application - although !Paint seems to have a problem
  36. with this, but on testing (dragging the palette file from the Palette utility
  37. to it) it seems that this is a !Paint problem not this program :-) )

  66. speed of its task, but the source code is available on request.
