RISC OS 2, 1Mb and 800K disc drive users
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Spectrum 2 will NOT run under RISC OS 2 or on machines with 1Mb. All
members of Sounds Riscy have 2Mb+ RISC OS 3 machines. We strongly suggest
that you upgrade to RISC OS 3 and/or 2Mb of memory. Spectrum 2 can be run
from the archive on 800K floppy drive machines, but if you can use HD floppy
discs then we recommend that you transfer the files from the "Spectrum2"
archive to a blank 1.6Mb disc (or better still, a hard disc).
Sounds Riscy are very sorry to announce that Spectrum 2 will not run on the
RiscPC. This is due to the CoconizerPlayer module locking up, and memory
management on the new machine. We are using legal Acorn calls to find the
screen memory, but we have been informed that it just doesn't work! Next
issue we hope to be able to bring Spectrum to owners of the RiscPC. Until
then, we sincerely hope that most RiscPC owners have access to a lesser
machine!
Sounds Riscy need you!
