QUANTUM is always working on new demos and games, and several are now
under development. Arc news from COBRA :
On the Archimedes games front, F18 Hornet is finished, but I'm just
trying to sell it to a distributer. If you've seen TimeZone and can imagine
a modern flight simulator that is a lot better than that, includes music,
recce information, over seventy vector objects and seven missions, you may
be able to guess what F18 is like.
If you sell games, or would like to, then make me a preliminary offer,
send me three disks(and postage costs), and I'll get a copy of the game to
you. NOTE : I have absolute proof of copyright and so you won't be able to
sell my game without paying me, without getting sued by me.
My latest game, which is about 80% complete, is F4 Phantom. This is
another flight simulator but set in a completely different environment to
the last - the desert.
Another simulator which I've only just started will be some sort of space
game and will include a wide range of completely new vector shapes. I am
currently asking SIMIS for an ARM3 vesion of FST, which (if I can sell F18
and buy an ARM3) will allow me to make some extremely detailed simulators,
although these will obviously take a long time to design.
Having just completed this «DIGITAL» demo, I'll now start work on a new sound effects demo entitled "HARMONIX" which will be available soon from the Datafile PD.
Although we've always got by with good old BASIC V, we are starting to
run out of effects that are possible at the slow speed available, and so
I've just bought the C Development Package. This will allow me to do some
REAL programming!
