- GRAPHS
- ======
-
- Graphs can be plotted of any account, including archives, and up to 8
- accounts can be plotted on the same graph. Line graphs plot the
- balance or value of each transaction against it's date and bar graphs
- sum the amounts of all transactions over a sub-period (typically one
- month) and then plot these as bars for the whole period. (Note that if
- the amounts in and out are equal over the period the bar value will be
- zero). Bar graphs are most suitable for 'one-way' accounts such as
- most Spend accounts where the majority of transactions are only into,
- or out of the account. All graphs are drawn with amounts plotted
- vertically and with time increasing from left to right. If accounts
- have not been displayed, analysed with PROJECT or UPDATED after having
- transactions added then these transactions will not be plotted on line
- graphs because the balances for those transactions will not have been
- computed.

- GRAPHDATA ENTRIES
-
- Clicking over the GRAPHS icon on the TOOLBAR will open the
- 'graphdata' window. The end and start dates are set by default to
- today and one year ago, selection of accounts is by clicking over the
- 'Account' box and then through the normal accounts menu or by dragging
- an account onto this box. Clicking on the 'line' or 'bar' button will
- select this option if not already selected and clicking on the Plot
- button will plot the graph. When the graph is displayed clicking menu
- over it will bring up the 'Graph' menu allowing you to add further
- accounts, save the graph as a sprite or drawfile, or print it out as a
- report. Archive files (or indeed any accounts file) can be added by
- dragging the file over the graph itself.
-
-
- SHAREVALUE/SHAREPRICE
-
- The buttons for 'sharevalue' and 'shareprice' are only applicable
- to Share or Unit trust accounts where you have the option of
- displaying either the value of your shares or the price, as
- entered in 'Valuation' transactions.
-
- PLOT RELATIVE
-
- The 'plot relative' button when selected will cause line graphs to be
- drawn with all values relative to the account value at the start date.
- This is useful for plotting Share/Unit type accounts against other
- each other and against Index accounts.
-
- SUM
-
- Note that if you enter 'Sum' from the menu into the accounts box and
- try to action the graph with 'bar' selected a warning message will
- appear - see 'SUM' section for explanation.
