- Version 1.3 of Zap has grown quite a bit, de-archived the whole thing
- takes over 1½Mb. The main reason for this are the many extra support
- programs provided. These are not necessary for the day to day operation
- of Zap. If you are working with a floppy-opnly sysyem especially if you
- only have 800K discs, then you should de-archive Zap to a blank disc,
- only copying the material you actually need.
-
- For example, you don't need the 'docs' directory (250K), most of the
- templates (by default the RiscPC uses 'Holden', RO3 'Ebourne' and RO2
- 'Symes', omiting the others will save about 100K), most of the fonts
- (the ones used by default are specified in the Keys file, these are
- 08x08.SysDom and 08x16.Ben by default), and again these take over 250K.
- The entire 3rdParty directory can also de omitted if necessary and this
- will save over 450K.
-
- Obviously you will probably need a lot of these later, but they can be
- added to your working disc as you require them.
