  10. This is a port of Flex 2.4.7 for the Acorn Archimedes and Risc PC systems.

  12. To build this software you will need a copy of Paul Moores Utils library,
  13. which should be available from an archive near you...
  14.  
  15. Please note that scanners generated using this port of flex do not have the
  16. ability of the original to determine whether they are running on an
  17. interactive terminal. I have no idea what difference this makes, but I
  18. thought I ought to tell you :-)

  20. This version was ported and tested on an A5000 running RISC OS 3.10 so I
  21. can't guarantee that it will run on anything else, but there's no reason
  22. why it shouldn't.

  24. For information on flex and what it does, see the information in the docs
  25. directory. This contains the Un*x manual pages in [nt]roff format and the
  26. flex manual in texinfo format.

  28. The flex/skl file supplied with this release does not actually need to be
  29. installed to use the software, as the software has its own compiled in
  30. version of the file. I have only supplied it for reference purposes, and
  31. in case you need to modify it.
