  3. -----> Basic Information on `Detective'
  4.  
  5. `Detective' is an application for examining the catalogued information about
  6. a file that cannot normally be accessed from a desktop enviroment.
  7.     The Detective application will give you the file name, the file type, the
  8. file type name, and the length of the file. If the file is longer than 2Kb
  9. the application will display the length in Kilobytes otherwise the length
  10. will be displayed in bytes.

  15.     To load the `Detective' application just double click on the Detective 
  16. icon in the filer window. The Detective icon should then appear on the right
  17. of the icon bar. To gain information about the file simply drag the file
  18. onto the Detective icon, and a window will be opened displaying the
  19. information about this file.
