  1. Text file conversion utility.

  4. This is a really simple utility which I originally wrote when the only means
  5. of getting files on and off MS-DOS discs (which I do quite a lot) was getfile
  6. and putfile.  These worked, but didn't do any conversion on text files.
  7.  
  8. Then along came !PCDir, which did a much better job, and automatically
  9. converts text files as they are copied.  My utility fell into disuse.
  10.  
  11. Now I have Risc OS 3.10, which can read MS-DOS diskettes directly.  BUT,
  12. we're back to problems with text files.  Thus I've resurrected my utility,
  13. re-worked it to use my window manager interface library, and here it is.
  14.  
  15. To convert files, simply drag them onto the program icon.  Text files will
  16. be changed to DOS text format and stamped as type DOS.  DOS files will be
  17. processed the other way.  Non-text files will be ruined!  The time when
  18. this is most use is if you have a large directory of source files (as I often
  19. have).  You can just select them all, drag them to the icon and wait.

  22. you may distribute it freely provided the entire package is distributed
