- Have a cup of coffee while I prattle on about what you can and cannot do
- with the hundreds of pounds worth of equipment in front of you.
-
- This program (written by Stuart Ford), the WimpExtension (written by Jon
- Ribbens and Doggysoft) and the help utility (written by Loring) can be
- copied as long as no money is charged for them other than administration
- costs. No author can be held responsible for data lost or corrupted
- concerning the use of this program.
-
- RISC OS 3
- ---------
-
- This program will not work without RISC OS 3.00 or later. I strongly urge
- you to upgrade to RISC OS 3.10 as it is rapidly becoming standard on all
- Acorn Machines
-
- Introduction
- ------------
-
- The funny little symbols around the edges of windows are called tools and
- it is very easy to get sick of the sight of the same old boring tools. Don't
- fret: !Tools has come to the rescue. !Tools is a simple program that allows
- you to load different sets of tools to suit your own liking. It comes
- complete with four sets of tools: the default set, a 3D set (which I use all
- the time), a reversed set and finally a rather silly jumbled up set. You
- can add your own sets and the program can handle up to 19 sets at a time.
-
- Instructions
- ------------
-
- Load in the usual way. There is no iconbar icon, just the main window. The
- four icons open the info window, quit the program, load the currently
- selected set of tools or redraw the screen. They are all quite self-
- explanatory.
-
- To define a tool set of your own, follow the guidelines below:
-
- 1) Click MENU over the Resources icon on the icon bar.
- 2) Click on "Open '$'".
- 3) Double click on "Resources" in the new window.
- 4) Scroll down to the very bottom of the resultant window and open the
- "Wimp" folder.
- 5) Hold down SHIFT and double click on the !Tools icon FOR THIS PROGRAM,
- ie, the picture of the axe.
- 6) Open the "Tools" folder.
- 7) Drag the "Tools" icon from the Resources window into the Tools folder
- window, with all the sets in.
- 8) Rename it. Eg "My_Set".
- 9) Load it into !Paint
- 10) Alter it to your liking
- 11) Resave it.
- 12) Load !Tools and it will be in the window.
-
- You can have up to 19 files within the Tools folder. If there are more, the
- program will just take the first 19.
