- Hi fellow users!
-
- Welcome to !ModuleUtil the +------------+
- utility that allows you to |Version 1.03|
- look at any module from | Feb 1993 |
- within the desktop without +------------+
- having to use the CLI, or
- without even having to type in it's name, just
- point with the mouse and click. As well as being
- able to examine each module, you can kill them!
- Instructions are as follows:
- Double-clicking on the icon in the directory
- viewer installs the program, with an icon on the
- icon bar. Clicking the menu button brings up a
- menu with Info, Quit, Help (this text) and CLI
- (which is a multitasking alternative to pressing
- F12 and typing with the desktop scrolling up
- away. CLI and Help are available from all
- windows from this utility.
- If you press Select on the icon on the
- icon bar, a window comes up with a list of all
- modules present when memory was last scanned.
- Press 'Top', or 'Bottom' and the top, or
- bottom of the list will be shown.
- Click on the name of a module and another
- window will appear with information about that
- module. If you want further information about
- a command that the module may provide, then
- click Select over the command name. The CLI
- window will appear with it programmed to
- provide help on that command. If you do not
- want help on a command, just execute it, then
- pressing Adjust over the module command name
- will execute it. To kill the module selected,
- you press menu over the window and select Kill.
- When the module info window is open you can
- return to the module list by selecting List
- from the menu.
- If at all you think the module list needs
- updating, then select Re-Scan from a menu,
- this will re-scan memory for the modules
- present.
- The most complicated window is probably the
- CLI window, so I shall attempt to explain it.
- The text icon is where you type in the cli
- commands, to execute the command press the
- Enter icon. WimpTask executes it like the
- Task Manager. Window executes it and displays
- the output in the window. The BASIC, IDEFS,
- ADFS, HELP icons just type themselves into
- the text icon. The cross in the top right
- closes the window.
- For more look in the Docums directory in
- this applications directory.
