Hard disc users (and floppy disc users with a startup disc they always boot from, I suppose) can use this directory to replace their desktop boot file, which goes inside under the name !DeskBoot. The !Boot.!Run file then has to be changed to load up whichever modules need to be loaded before the desktop starts (e.g. the windowed icon bar module 'InWindow')
The machine must be configured to:
1) start in BASIC (*con. language 18),
2) boot from the (hard) disc (*con. drive 4 or whatever),
3) *run the !Boot application (*OPT 4,2 in the drive's $ directory).
