  1. >ReadMe file accompanying !Midi data file "ExTime"

  3. The other file in this archive is the example timestamped midi data file
  4. referred to in the !Help file of the !Midi application.
  5.  
  6. This is a timestamped midi data recording, to load it to !Midi,
  7. Either:
  8.  a. Ensure that your system has "seen" the !Midi application, then
  9.     just double click on the icon for ExTime,
  10. or
  11.  b. Double click on the !Midi icon to start it up, then drag the ExTime
  12.     icon into the !Midi application window.
  13.  
  14. Ensure that your midi instrument is set up in "sound source" mode.
  15. ie. It ONLY accepts midi data, with can't be played from its keyboard.
  16. (If you leave it in keyboard mode then it will not respond correctly to
  17. voice commands via midi.)
  18.  
  19. Click on the Transmit Data button in the !Midi window, and you should hear
  20. something! Quite what you will hear is another matter, your voice numbers
  21. are likely to be assigned to different instruments than those on the
  22. keyboard from which the recording was made. (Yamaha PSS780)
