- >ReadMe file accompanying !Midi data file "ExTime"
-
- The other file in this archive is the example timestamped midi data file
- referred to in the !Help file of the !Midi application.
-
- This is a timestamped midi data recording, to load it to !Midi,
- Either:
- a. Ensure that your system has "seen" the !Midi application, then
- just double click on the icon for ExTime,
- or
- b. Double click on the !Midi icon to start it up, then drag the ExTime
- icon into the !Midi application window.
-
- Ensure that your midi instrument is set up in "sound source" mode.
- ie. It ONLY accepts midi data, with can't be played from its keyboard.
- (If you leave it in keyboard mode then it will not respond correctly to
- voice commands via midi.)
-
- Click on the Transmit Data button in the !Midi window, and you should hear
- something! Quite what you will hear is another matter, your voice numbers
- are likely to be assigned to different instruments than those on the
- keyboard from which the recording was made. (Yamaha PSS780)
-
- Good luck,
