  2. Artisan users. Amongst other things, it provides 6 extra fonts, extra
  3. colour fill patterns, an editor for changing the colour patterns on the
  4. monochrome printer dumps, printer dumps for Integrex 132 and Epson
  5. EX800, JX80, Fujitsu DL3400 and Star LC10 colour printers and a module
  6. which provides a way of merging pictures (including a fastload module) Ö
  7. you can make up a very impressive Artisan öslide-showò Ö and you get
  8. four new sample screens to impress your friends. (In stock and available
  9. through Archive for ú18) The Integrex screendumps are very impressive as
  10. visitors to the Manchester M.U. Show will be able to testify, especially
  11. when printed on the special paper which Clares Micros can supply for ú5
  12. per 25m roll.

  14. Å  New version (1.5a) of Arctist available Ö still at ú19.95 (ú18 through
  15. Archive). Now has the following extra features: Select colour & tint
  16. from palette or an area on-screen (i.e. re-select an existing colour),
  17. finish a line or ray by pressing space then restart elsewhere without
  18. re-selecting the function, select a new colour while still in a
  19. function, fill a given colour area with a new tint level, block move
  20. straight or EOR overlap, clear screen to a selected colour, delete text
  21. from the keyboard, make use of twin drives, rotate through palettes,
  22. select a new palette.

  32. Å  5.25ö disc drive Interface. All you ever wanted to do with a 5.25ò
  33. disc drive on the Archimedes from CJE Microæs╔ Firstly an interface
  34. cable for ú30. Then there is a link-swapping switch for ú8 that will
  35. allow the external drive to be :0 (or, more importantly, A: on MS.DOS).
  36. Then thereæs a Drive Select Translation Cable for an extra ú9 which
  37. allows you to leave the links on the external drive set to zero (so you
  38. can swap the drive over with another computer, e.g. a BBC) and still
  39. have it accessed from the Archimedes as if it were drives 1 and 2 (or
  40. there is a version that makes it 2 and 3). If you canæt work out what
  41. you need from that lot, give CJE a ring! Then there is some software for
  42. ú15 that allows you to read (but not write) DFS discs using the
  43. Archimedes Ö much easier than trying to use the RS423 interface Ö
  44. particularly useful for those who want to trade in their BBCæs for an

  55. Computers provides a way of getting all those favourite screen-shots (or
  56. other files for that matter) across from the BBC to the Archimedes. Once
  57. across, the mode converter will allow you to transfer screens from one
  58. mode to another so that, for example, 16 colour BBC pictures can have a

  66. Fortran, assembler and BASIC programming Ö ú19.90. We have a review copy
  67. though it is önot the final versionò but you can get a demo version
  68. which allows you to do everything except save files for just ú3.50
  69. (refundable when you buy the full program). Architext uses the mouse but
  70. not the WIMP environment to make it öfast and full of facilities, but
  71. easy to use.ò)

  76. version of the popular board game, backgammon with save, load, wind and

  83. with 1Mbyte upwards is object-oriented with lines, arcs, circles and
  84. curves of different colours and line types which can be assigned to any
  85. of ten drawing layers. Text of any size can be added and objects can be
  86. measured and dimensioned automatically. It has full zoom facilities, is
  87. mouse driven and works with a whole range of printers and pen-plotters.

  100. Å  What a bind! Archive PVC binders (ú5.50 each) are now in stock. Iæm
  101. very pleased with them Ö they are strongly made and look very smart on
  102. the bookshelf. The binding system is such that even with only six or
  103. seven magazines they stay in place without any trouble.
