  1. !ShowDraw is a public domain(ish) utility which displays draw files in much
  2. the same way as Picture, written by Roger Wilson, for displaying sprites.

  4. It starts with a default picture "<ShowDraw$Dir>.DrawFile".  Any draw
  5. file may be dragged on to the window for display.
  6.  
  7. Alternatively a directory can be dragged on to it.  The draw files within
  8. the directory will be displayed in alphabetic order.  So if you're planning
  9. to use this for a display, you may wish to name your files appropriately.

  11. The window's menu contains three speed controls:
  12.  
  13. Fastest - Loads the next draw file as soon as it has finished rendering the
  14.           current one
  15. Fast -    5 seconds pause (default setting)
  16. Slow -    10 seconds pause
  17. Pause -   Can only be choosen if you have dragged a directory on to the
  18.           window.  When ticked, the cycle will be paused until you choose
  19.           Pause again.
  20. Quit -    Quits the application
  21.  
  22. Pressing escape will also quit ShowDraw - so long as another application
  23. doesn't have the input focus.

  25. ShowDraw doesn't survive mode changes, you will need to fire it up again if
  26. you change mode.

  28. The draw files are not scaled in any way, so if they don't fit on the screen
  29. you will need to edit them in Draw.

  31. Although ShowDraw will not directly load sprite files, you may load a sprite
  32. into Draw and resave it as a draw file.

  34. At the momment it doesn't handle any of the new RISC OS 3 Draw objects such
  35. rotated text and rotated sprites.
