Short: NES-RomImage Editor (0.42)
Uploader: lentoboy@hem.passagen.se (Lennart Johannesson)
Author: lentoboy@hem.passagen.se (Lennart Johannesson)
Type: misc/emu
Version: 0.42
This COULD be the LAST version of GOldNEST, READ BELOW if you want me
to continue with this project! SUPPORT THE AMIGA PROGRAMMERS!
0.42: (08-Jan-99)
GOldNEST is now a Seasons project. Still written by me Lennart, though.
You are now able to load (all?) roms by untagging the new menu-option: "Safe Edit Mode".
Newicons made by Tomas "AER" Amsrud Added!
Now GOldNEST uses Nintendo.Font, special thanks to the A/NES crew for the font!
0.40: (10-Oct-98)
GOldNEST is now mailware, support me by sending me a mail!
Added Save Iff Support! (Requires iff.library)
Added Save CFG On Exit & Save Config Options. (Suggested by Tomas Amsrud!)
GOldNEST is Mailware.
I will only continue this project if I recieve enough support, so it's very important that you
take yourself some time writing to me, just a few lines at least!
It all started when I wanted to translate NES roms into Swedish. Therefore I joined
"The Translators" and started to translate SMB-1 into swedish, and I was successfull!
After some hard work I finally changed some of the letters to swedish ones, and also
hacked the text in the romfile. The problem is that most of the NES roms do not use
standard ASCII-codes and that's a BIG problem if you want to translate roms. Therefore
I thought, why not create a NES tool for my favourite computer, Amiga. As you can see
I did, although there's much more to be added, finished and improved to this editor,
it is going to be the ultimate editor for any system (Maybe)!
GOldNEST is short for Good Old Nintendo Entertainment System Tool, so now you know...
Requirements:
* Kickstart 3.0 or later
* diskfont.library (V39 or later) (Not yet, but will be required in future versions)
* asl.library (V39 or later)
* AGA or GFX-board (I hope) (I don't know if it works with OCS/ECS please tell me!)
* A NES-Rom image to edit would be nice too. =)
Enjoy,
/Lennart
