  8. <h1>Webster's Scantype file</h1>
  9. Each entry in the <a href="../ScanType">scantype file</a> consists of two lines, the first line of which is split into several parts.
  10. <ul>
  11. <li>The first line contains the following separated by commas
  12.  <ul>
  13.  <LI>Offset into files to check for the second line (-1 meaning anywhere)
  14.  <LI>Filetype in hex with a leading &
  15.  </ul>
  16. <LI>The string to search for at the given offset (This can not currently contain linefeeds as there are used for ends of the file lines)
  17. </ul>
  18. Currently only a position in the first 255 characters of the file should be specified.

  20. A later verson of Webster will allow editing of this file via a window, currently you must edit it directly and reload Webster for any changed are picked up.
