Interactive !Draw Tutorial

Changing Sprites to Drawfiles
This Directory contains files that are designed to
explain the reasons for changing sprites to
drawfiles.
The files should be read in chronological order
as they have been saved.
Sprites1
This shows the limitations of using a sprite in
!Draw. A sprite is used to indicate what is
possible. Against this is noted all that cannot be
done.
Trace1
Again, using sprites and drawfiles the student is
shown some of the advantages of Tracing sprites to
construct drawfiles and introduced to a useful and
simple method of doing it.
Trace2
This file is an interactive page with a very simple
sprite to trace preceded by instructions on how to
do it. There are also 2 examples of what can be
achieved with simple cartoon type sprites.
Trace3
Here there are further interactive instructions on
tracing, completing a partly traced cartoon, as
seen on Trace2 and doing the other from start to
finish.
Trace4
Practice sheet containing 3 simple sprites to
Trace and from which to produce Drawfiles.
Trace5
A final Practice sheet containing graded sprites for
producing more detailed and complicated drawfiles.
Trace6Mut1
Additional tracing-related puzzle.
Trace6Mut2
Instructions for tracing Muttley, a difficult
tracing.
