  4. !Pluto an alternative news and mail reader for use with:
  5.  
  6. a. The Voyager internet suite.  It replaces NewsAgent and Posty.
  7. b. The ANT internet suite.  It replaces Marcel.
  8. c. Acornet (with NewsHound & !POP).  It replaces NewsBase & Messenger.
  9. d. Termite internet suite.  It replaces Oflite.

  12. This is a time-limited version of Pluto.
  13.  
  14. It is valid only until 1st July 2000.  After this date this trial version
  15. will no longer read new messages, but you will still be able to export
  16. stored articles if you want to transfer them back into another
  17. news/mail reader application.  Please check the "Info" imformation from
  18. Pluto's iconbar menu for confirmation of this date.

  23. !Pluto supports interactive help using !Bubblehelp or Acorn's !Help.

  25. Run either of these when you start using Pluto in order to see what
  26. the various buttons and fields are for.

  29. INSTALLING

  32. Copy the  !Pluto  application onto your harddrive.

  34. Users who are using Pluto with Voyager, ANT internet suite, Newshound,
  35. or Termite should read the:
  36.    Go-Voyager, Go-ANT, Go-NwHound, or Go-Termite file respectively in
  37. the "Docs" directory.

  39. You will need to ensure that
  40.   Preferences->News/Mail->News_transport  and
  41.   Preferences->news/Mail->Mail_transport
  42. (from Pluto's iconbar menu) are set to the news and mail transports
  43. that you are using (Voyager, ANT, Newshound, POPStar etc).

  45. You will need to ensure that your email address(es) are set up in
  46.   Lists->Users
  47. (from Pluto's iconbar menu).
