  2. This is the demo version of PaperOut for RISC OS.
  3.  
  4. It requires RISC OS 3.1 and 2 MB of RAM.

  9. PaperOut is retrieval software for Electronic Book CDs which have up to 
  10. now only been usable with the Sony DATA Discman.  There are already over
  11. 200 CD-ROM titles available (encyclopedias, dictionaries, guides), which
  12. conform to the Electronic Book standard developed by Sony.
  13.  
  14. The Electronic Book CDs are supplied in a caddy, which looks like
  15. a 3.5" floppy disc. To use the CD in a CD-ROM drive the CD may be 
  16. removed from this caddy. The CD may be placed in the 8cm recess in the 
  17. middle of a drive tray, or in a CD caddy using a 5.25" adaptor ring.

  20. PaperOut will work on any Acorn RISC OS computer fitted with 2MB RAM and  
  21. RISC OS 3.1. The CD-ROM drive must be XA compatible (if it is Kodak PhotoCD
  22. compatible that is fine), and you will need CDFS 2.20 or greater. Where 
  23. required Cumana CDFSsoft driver updates are available free of charge.

  26. PaperOut is THE software which enables you to use these
  27. Electronic Books with your Acorn Archimedes. Many
  28. well known dictionaries and reference books are now
  29. available for RISC OS. These include:

  52. This demo version of PaperOut contains its own Electronic
  53. Book which includes a catalog of available Electronic Books.
  54. A demonstration copy of the CIA World Fact Book Electronic
  55. Book is also included.  The book about the Solar System, 
  56. is not available on this demo and merely represents a dummy entry.

  58. This demo will not open any other Electronic Books but otherwise
  59. supports all features of the full version.
