Instructions
¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤
Control the droid along the multicoloured band of
energy. The different colours have the following effects:
Cyan
¤¤¤¤
This will increase the number of bounce credits you have. These are needed
if you want to cause the droid to jump.
Magenta
¤¤¤¤¤¤¤
This reverses your controls and the effects of red, green blue and yellow
areas.
Light Pink
¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤
This increases the number of droids you have left
Mauve
¤¤¤¤¤
This increases the time you have left to complete the level in.
Pastel Green
¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤
This is simply a score bonus.
Brown
¤¤¤¤¤
This will stop you in your tracks. Note it does NOT stop left and right
movement.
Purple
¤¤¤¤¤¤
This will set your speed to a specific value which changes each level.
Beige
¤¤¤¤¤
This area has no friction thus you cannot control your droid's direction. If
you get stuck you will need to jump.
White
¤¤¤¤¤
This will cause your droid to bounce. Note: this does NOT use a bounce
credit.
Yellow
¤¤¤¤¤¤
This will move you right, but if you have reversed controls it will move you
left.
Blue
¤¤¤¤
This will move you left, but if you have reversed controls it will move you
right.
Green
¤¤¤¤¤
This will slow you down. Don't stop on here unless you have a bounce credit,
you have been warned!
Red
¤¤¤
This will speed you up. Keep the decelerate key down to stay at the same
speed.
Grey
¤¤¤¤
This does absolutely nothing!
Controls
¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤
Keyboard
¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤
When selected the keyboard will be used to control the droid. You may
define the keys you wish to use in the keys section of the window.
Mouse
¤¤¤¤¤
When selected the mouse will be used for left and right movement. If you
also want to use the mouse buttons you must define the speed up, slow down
and bounce keys as the mouse buttons. The zero speed is the speed with which
the mouse will be centred. If zero, moving the mouse right a bit will cause
the droid to move right until you move the mouse back to the central point.
If the zero speed is non zero then, if you stop moving the mouse, the ball
will eventually stop moving. (The larger the value the quicker the droid
stops.)
Joystick
¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤
This will use the joystick in joystick port 1. The software is compatible
with any joystick interface that emulates the Acorn interface. You will need
to load the joystick module supplied with your joystick interface if you are
not using an Acorn interface.
RTFM interface owners may simply click on the application !RTFMJoy. Owners
of the Serial Port / Vertical Twist / Leading Edge interface must load their
module from the support disc that came with the interface. Double click on
!SerialJoy for more information.
There are a number of utilities supplied on the disc. !MaxMem will only
need to be run if you have a 1 megabyte computer - it maximises the memory.
!MonType enables you to switch between mode types of 50KHz and 100KHz. The
application explains its use when you double click on it.
And that's all there is to it!
