Oregan has taken a leap into the world of digital video with the release of its new package CineWorks. Centring around the use of MPEG and Replay video clips, the package provides a sophisticated 32 track video mixing and editing studio, combined with 16 track audio capabilities.<br><br>
Video clips may be mixed together using a variety of transitions which are typically found in professional video editing environments. Transitions currently available range from standard wipes and fades, to more adventurous central zooms and mosaic cuts.<br><br>
Impressive video trickery is no longer exclusive to professional producers on virtually unlimited budgets, but is now possible on Acorn machines with CineWorks offering facilities such as zooming, panning, rotation, shadowing, ghosting, chroma-keying, and opacity controls.<br><br>
Full vision correction controls are provided so Replay and MPEG clips may have their brightness, colour and contrast adjusted at any time after they have been captured, and even varied throughout the clip.<br><br>
CineWorks can be used to create genlocked overlay graphics for uses such as titling. The genlock has 16 levels of transparency, supporting all popular Acorn genlock hardware.<br><br>
The package is supplied with a free CD ROM containing a wealth of interesting video and audio clips to get users started. However CineWorks will be invaluable to owners of video capture cards such as the Eagle M2 or Irlam card, who will now be able to take the role of cameraman, director and producer of their own film creations.<br><br>
