  1.         Welcome to WADRunner!  This program is designed to manage your
  2.         PWAD files for id Software's game DOOM.  You should have the
  3.         WADRUN.EXE program, this WADRUN.DOC file, and a data file called
  4.         WADRUN.DAT.  These files should be placed in your DOOM directory,
  5.         and WADRUN should be executed from this directory.  While you are
  6.         in the DOOM directory, type WADRUN and hit Enter.  WADRunner will
  7.         search for all your .WAD files, and list them on the screen. 
  8.         80 file names will fit on the screen.  If you have more than
  9.         80 PWAD files, you should think seriously about getting some 
  10.         professional counseling for your "DOOM obsession problems" <G>.
  11.         WADRunner will NOT touch your DOOM.WAD, or your DOOM1.WAD files.

  16.         A-About         Displays an info box with the version number of
  17.                         WADRunner, and how to contact the author.
  18.  
  19.         C-Change        Allows you to change the Episode and Mission number
  20.                         of a PWAD file.  Use the arrow keys to change
  21.                         the numbers, and hit Enter to keep the changes.
  22.                         A warning box asks you to hit Enter again to confirm
  23.                         that you really want to write to your PWAD file.

  25.         B-Batch         Writes a batch file to start DOOM.  If no PWAD files
  26.                         are marked (See below) then the file where the 
  27.                         cursor is will be used.  If any files are marked 
  28.                         then WADRunner will use the first nine marked files
  29.                         it encounters to construct a batch file.  If any
  30.                         warping (See below) is active, the batch file will 
  31.                         include the -DEVPARM and -WARP command parameters.
  32.                         The batch file is named W.BAT, so to use it you
  33.                         should be at the DOS prompt in your DOOM directory,
  34.                         and type "W" followed by the Enter key.  Any previous
  35.                         W.BAT file will be overwritten, so if you have one
  36.                         that you want to keep, rename it to something else.

  38.         M-Mark          Puts an asterisk by the file name, marking it for
  39.                         later use.  Hit "M" again to unmark the file name.
  40.                         The spacebar will also mark a filename.  Use the "U"
  41.                         key to mark or unmark ALL the file names.

  43.         N-Notes         Brings up a 3-line 60-character notepad.  Use the
  44.                         arrow keys to move around, and type anything you
  45.                         want, like the PWAD author, how hard the level is,
  46.                         etc.  Hit the ESC key to save and quit the notepad.
  47.                         (The Enter key also activates the notepad.)

  49.         P-Print         Prints the PWAD file name, the episode/mission
  50.                         of the WAD, and the notes for the WAD.  You can
  51.                         send the output to the printer or a file, called
  52.                         WADINFO.TXT.  Or hit ESC to cancel the printout.

  54.         R-Random        Picks a random PWAD file to load into DOOM.  You
  55.                         can choose from the shareware DOOM missions, the
  56.                         registered version missions, or from your list
  57.                         of PWAD files.  The skill level is random also.

  59.         W-Warp          Lets you pick which episode/mission you start
  60.                         at when you write a batch file.  Use the arrow
  61.                         keys to change the numbers.  Hit Enter to keep
  62.                         the changes, or ESC to abort.

  68.         Basically, that's all there is to WADRunner.  Hit the ESC key
  69.         (or Q, or X) to quit the program.  WADRunner does very little
  70.         error checking, so trying to print with no printer attached
  71.         to your computer will lockup the machine, etc.  I will accept
  72.         no responsibility for ANYTHING that happens to you, your family,
  73.         or your computer while you are using WADRunner.  Likewise, I
  74.         expect no compensation for the use of WADRunner.  Give it to
  75.         anybody who wants it, it's released to the public domain.

  77.         This is version 1.1, and fixes a bug with the WAD notes.
  78.         (A comma in the notes would trash the data file)
  79.         Also, I put in half-assed support for the backspace key
  80.         in the notes, 'cause I kept reaching for it to back up.
  81.         Also, I changed the "E - Execute" to "B - Batch".  It
  82.         makes more sense that way, but the "E" key still works,
  83.         in addition to the "B" key.
