This is a compilation of doom pwads gathered from bbs around the country.
Others, like myself, after finishing doom a few times - in a number of
different ways - were not content to wait for the new release.
They, with the help of some excellant editors now available - DEU 5.0 the
editor of choice - have taken it upon themselves to build new levels from
scratch!
This is no easy task. Days and days went into the testing and
creating of these new levels. Each level took a minumum of 36 hours.
They have been well crafted and are quite enjoyable. The problem, I found
is that they are only one level! I would spend an hour or so getting
through an incredibly tough level and discover that the next level in line
was the Nuke plant...major let down. Loading the next cool level brought me
down to entry level excitment. This is a compilation of all of those
levels....surrvive one and head right into the next! I have added a few
batch files to aid the installation of this new adventure!
lvltxts.zip
Many of the level creators in this group expressed the desire to be
recognized, or made the condition that their levels could not be touched
without the documentation attached. I feel that this type of attitude
is counter productive and arrogant - after all no money is exchanging
hands over these levels, but I have considered their requests, and added
the .txt info that came with the level they created. If you are interested
simply unzip this file - it tells who did what to which level.
run4.batch
This batch file leaves your doom.wad alone....it assumes you have 10 meg
of free space on your hard drive. It unzips the new Goodlord.wad and starts
the game at the appropriate level of skill.
Good.batch
After the run4.bat file has installed the game, this batch file
will load the game to be run each time you wish to play. This means you
won't have to reload the entire game each time!
Clear.batch
When you are all done playing - for good, this batch program will,
erase the Goodlord.bat - run4.bat - pkunzip.exe - lvltxts.zip leaving only
the clear3.bat file to be erased, and your directory as if this entire
experience had never been.
I put all this together, for those of you who haven't had the time to
figure out how to do all this stuff. I admit to many frustrations, just
trying to get these new levels to play! I hope this quick fix will hold
you until I can put the next one together!

Doom External Wad File: Megalab.wad
Author: Casey Miller
E-mail: 98782359@wsuvm1.csc.wsu.edu (valid address till 5/6/94)
Organization: Washington State University
After too many hours I have finally completed my second complete external wad
file for use with the registered version of Doom.
Megalab replaces level four of episode two. Both levels contain multi-player
and deathmatch starting points, and skill level options.
Megalab was completed with Deu 4 beta, then the new Deu 5, and nodes built
with BSP v1.1 beta. I can almost garauntee there will be no clipping.
I must give credit to the new Deu 5 for its auto texture align feature as
Megalab would not have been released this soon.
For those who enjoyed Megawatt, my new Megalab level should be equally
enjoyable if not more. Neither level abuses the player by adding too many
monsters so you should find both reasonable to play. I hope you enjoy and
would appreciate any feedback at the above internet e-mail address. I will
graduate after the 6th so my e-mail address will no longer be valid, so don't
bother sending me mail after that date. I will hopefully get a new account
in my home town within a few weeks afterwards.
Good luck on your kills,
C. Miller
Babylon 5 Rules!

This wad is for the secret level in episode 2. Now converted to E2M5 for
GoodGod.wad!
Someone suggested I call it "King of the Hill", for reasons that will
soon be apparent. It's tough on Ultra-Violence level but not unfair,
frustrating or unbeatable. You will need the registered version of doom
to use this wad.
To the point:
Instructions
1.) unzip strange.wad, hints.lmp and finish.lmp to your doom directory.
2.) To play strange.wad type:
doom -file strange.wad -devparm -wart 2 9
3.) To play a "hints" demo type:
doom -file strange.wad -playdemo hints
4.) To play the spoiler demo type:
doom -file strange.wad -playdemo finish
Note: If you wish you may enter the secret level through the usual route,
by playing the previous levels until find access to the secret, just make
sure that you launch doom with the command:
doom -file strange.wad
Stange.wad will substitute for for the original e2m9.

Title : STRENGTH.WAD
Author : Joel Lucsy
Email Address : jjlucsy@mtu.edu
Misc. Author Info : If email bounces, I've no longer got an account, or
have moved else where.
Description : Welcome to Training Level 1. You have just arrived
at the new training base and have been assigned a
light test to see how you fare in battle. If you
pass you will continue being tested until you are
ready for full combat. This test will NOT be easy,
but with a little strength, you should survive.

New Sounds : No
New Graphics : No

* Construction *
Base : New level from scratch
Build Time : Um... more than I can remember, but not too many.
Editor(s) used : DEU (5.1!!), BSP (to clean it up)
Known Bugs : None,nein,non,nada,nyet,zip,zilch,zero
* Additional Info *
This is my first level, so any comments would be appreciated. Was meant to go
along with a general Star Wars theme, but like my friends (Josh Schultz) got
sidetracked along the way. This was meant to complement his level, but can
stand alone (and maybe should). I tried a few ideas out here, copied a few,
but in general the ideas are mine. As for traps, DON'T fall in pits since you
don't get out, but that should be it. Everything else has a way out (unlike my
first revision). Enjoy!

This is WANTON, only faster! I have split it up into two parts.
WANTON12 replaces E1M1 and E1M2. Please send any comments, compliments,
or critisisms to jayson@cs.tamu.edu
Enjoy!

Well, after many hours of learning how to run the deu5.0 editor, this
is the level that I came up with. This is the first level of the first
mission. To load up the level just type 'doom -file upliftng.wad' and
choose 'Knee deep in the dead'(and the appropriate skill level). There
are about 40+ hours into making this level so if someone does change this
level any, I would at least like some credit shown.
This level was made using the patched 1.2 version of the registered game
and was also run through the bsp node builder, ver. 1.0.
The level is geared for more for a multiplayer mode that just one player.
However, this level is playable for just one player.
Deathmatch mode is supported.
Skill levels do change.
Tips:
Watch out for the green river....20% health loss.
It may bog down on slower computers when the ceilings are raised to
allow the ability to exit the level. Be patient.
Many of the same ideas are used, so don't be suprised.
I did this on a 386dx-40(scary, isn't it!) and this is the second level
that I have created. The first level I made is not quite done yet but it
was also more of a deathmatch level. I may get it on internet someday.
Enjoy,
Bart Wilson
