Hello fortunate, honoured person. Just a few points about
what extra things you'll find in the finalised version of
UNIVERSE:
* Auto-routing of the main character, Boris:
This feature is not actually in yet on this demo version.
But what it will mean on the finished game is that Boris will
automatically find his own way around obstacles and a follow
a path to any position on the ground where you, the honoured
player, have clicked on. This means that on this cover disk
version Boris might occasionally have a bit of trouble getting
around. All you have to do is click on the ground to guide
Bozza's feet around any corners etc.
* Also not yet in this demo version, Boris will be making his own
remarks during the game. For example when he arrives, wondering
how he got there, he'll tell you exactly what he thinks, in no
uncertain terms. This will of course further enhance the effect
of you, the honoured player, feeling that you are actually inside
a real parallel UNIVERSE! - honest.
p.s.
A few credits, for those of you out there who might not be quite
sure how our names are ACTUALLY spelt:
Programmer: Gary Antcliffe (not Hanclough)
Backgrounds and game design: Rolf Mohr (not Ralph Moor or even Muir!)
Graphics: Stuart Atkinson
Graphics and co-design: Gary (Jim) Bottomley-Mason
p.p.s.
Soz about the ego-trip, but some of those spelling mistakes can be
really annoying.
Happy New Year
from CORE DESIGN and the UNIVERSE team.
