The Battle of Kul Toras: A Warcraft II Scenario
Created by Michael Chan (CIS:100241,3206)
Comments and suggestions welcomed.
Mission Requirements and Specifications:
* Requires Warcraft II by Blizzard Entertainment to play this scenario;
* Single Player Custom Scenario;
* Fog of War - Highly recommended for maximum enjoyment;
* Medium level difficulty - a good challenge;
* 50 unit maximum limit placed on the forces of Stromgarde;
* The game may slow down due to the large number of units in the scenario.
The solution to this problem? Reduce the enemy's numbers...or yours.
* Requires lots of spare time.
Mission Objectives:
Recently promoted to the rank of Lordship, you have been instructed to aid
Lord Lothar in finding the lost treasures of the troll clan, Meneztol. This
clan was once Zuljin's secret enforcement police, his most trusted clan.
In the defence of Kul Tiras, the majority of the Meneztol clan fell victim to
the forces of Lordaeron, led then by Uther Lightbringer.
The remnants of the clan is believed to have moved north, carrying with them,
all of Zuljin's vast treasury to a location near the city of Kul Toras, a
sister city of Kul Tiras, somewhere deep within the dark forests of Kul Toras
itself.
Although Kul Toras is not as reknowned in its naval power as its sister
city, Kul Tiras, nevertheless, it possesses strong defensive capabilities and
a challenge to any who attempt to take it.
At present, Uther Lightbringer is leading a force into the dark forest,
having received a tip from a traveller of the possible location of this
treasure. According to this traveller, the treasure is located not far east
of the city itself.
Your advisors have informed you that the Horde is also moving in the
direction of Kul Toras; firstly, in the hopes of securing the treasure for
itself and secondly, to avenge the loss of the Meneztol clan by burning the
city of Kul Toras and its surrounding towns to the ground.
It is possible that the horde may have a head start as Zuljin is still at
large and would most likely have taken the recourse of recovering his
treasure.
Further, your spies have reported mass movements of Cho'gall's troops into the
area with the additional revelation that Zuljin has recently been in
negotiations with Gul'dan before the failed attack on Kul Tiras. The presence
of Gul'dan himself, in the region, should not be taken lightly.
Your advisors believes that Gul'dan may seize the treasure for himself in
order to boost the strengths of his Stormreaver clan and consequently, to aid
him in his quest to overthrow the leader of the horde, Orgrim Doomhammer.
Your task then, should you accept; to take command of the situation. Continue
Uther Lightbringer's expedition in order to boost the dwindling budget of
the Alliance, ensure the safety of the city of Kul Toras and its
surrounding towns and finally, remove the vile presence of the horde from the
region of Kul Toras once and for all.
Good Luck.
