  1. Here's the list of the DOOM .VOC files I extracted.  I tried to make the
  2. names suggestive of what they were; but I'm not sure I recognized the
  3. right creatures, etc.  Help me out if you can...
  4.  
  5. Listen to these; is the list complete?  Are they identified correctly?
  6. Add to it, if necessary.

  42. mislfly         missle flying - your rocket, or a boss's?
  43. mislexpl        missle exploding at a distance
  44. xplosion        another explosion; boss missles? (end episode 2?)
  45. elevator        elevator/lift noise, or the sound of secret doors opening??
  46. closing         a door slaming sound
  47. roar1           imp or sgt. (dying?)
  48. roar2           "                  "
  49. imphiss         imp hisses when sees you
  50. imphiss2        same
  51. rip             your clothes (skin?) ripping
  52. u_scream        you, dying
  53. saw_a           your dream weapon, starting up
  54. saw_b           "               ", shutting down

  61. It seems to me like there could be more sounds than this, unless some
  62. are recyclable :)  Like, where is the stomping sound made by the big 
  63. dude at the end of episode 2?  And the spider made it, too, I think.
  64. Maybe there are still some sounds hiding in the WAD file...?

  66. I'm working on an editor, but won't get it done before someone else
  67. does, most likely.  Sigh...real life is going to start again.. :)

  71. Oh yeah, all the standard disclaimers apply.  Don't do anything naughty with
  72. these sounds, which are the property of Id, etc., etc. :)
