-- file DESCR.TXT for DM-JCL.ZIP, a V.3 challenge --
log entry:
1: 941021 Joey Liaw jcl DM 2 4 6 LLLF - RLFR
2: "JOEY C. LIAW" <JL19813@academia.swt.edu>
controls used:
For the gameplay I used my trusty, old three-button Logitech serial mouse. I
discovered recently that I could really improve my play if I set sensitivity=
100 using Norton Control Center because I could turn twice as fast! I recom-
mend this to anybody who has an old Logitech mouse with an old driver. As an
aside, I thought of using my Gravis Gamepad but the action felt too much like
keyboard, so the only persons that ever use the gamepad now are my video-game
machine friends who can't handle mice or keyboards. Sorry I'm so loquatious.
system used:
My computer is a 486/DX2 50 with 8 MB RAM with an 11 ms hard drive (though it
really does not swap that much with 8 megs of RAM) and a generic ET4000-based
video card with 1 MB RAM plugged into a 16-bit ISA slot.
what's good in FREE.LMP:
You could title it "How to Kill a Fast CyberDemon"; 'nuff said. Well, I also
had fun rocket launching those lost souls; you'd have fun watching. They are
so !#@* fast with the "-fast" switch! No FREE.WAD since the level is E2M8 in
DOOM.WAD.
substitutions: No way!
version of DOOM used: 1.666
LMP highlight summary:
E1M2 handgun only, many barrel deaths
E2M4 several big dudes get crushed, huge fistfight with demon horde
E3M6 a near-death (1%), would have completed level 200% health, 200% armor
but for suicide rocket at end, also 100% items
personal info:
If you really want to know, I'm a tenth grader in Houston, Texas.
more notes:
I completed E1M2 with regular handgun, with heavy emphasis on turning enemies
into those neat little piles of blood and guts. You might guess that I'll go
for the DT title next! On a more random note, all the text is justified, but
there are no weird spaces between words -- proof that I have too much time to
kill, and so therefore must produce quality LMP's. Happy DOOMing, everybody.
