-
- 1. Purchase a multitrack train station if possible.
- 2. Study the train signal system by observing how the computer
- opponents deal with more than one train on a single track.
- 3. Do not disrupt a city for the sake of constructing a station in
- the centre of a town.
- 4. Try winning a subsidy for linking towns and industries.
- 5. The loophole to getting more than 200 stations is to place
- buildings next to each other to create multiple stations.
- 6. Shipping iron ore, coal, or oil is usually profitable.
- 7. A good tactic is to pause the game at the beginning to determine
- your optimum route.
- 8. Build the biggest rail station you can afford.
- 9. It is lucrative to transport passengers by trains in the first
- part of the game, and then by planes in the latter stages of the
- game.
- 10. Analyse the map carefully before you do anything. Look for:
- (a) A large city near the middle of the map.
- (b) Reasonably sized towns nearby.
