- 1. Look for an energy node early in the game, then cast a magic
- spirit to occupy it. Nodes greatly intensify the magic power you
- accumulate in each turn.
- 2. Send out some low-level creatures early on to scout as much
- territory as posssible.
- 3. Save your game often.
- 4. Ensure that your invaders have good speed when attacking an enemy.
- 5. Use a large group of regenerating troops, along with a hero with
- the Leadership attribute when attacking ruins.
- 6. Berserkers and Halberdiers provide the most Bang for the Buck,
- while Halberdiers, Cavalry and Nightmares provide the most Blood for
- the Buck. The clear loser in the efficiency category is the Catapult.
- 7. Elven Lords, Griffins, and Paladins are all powerful attacking
- units.
- 8. Slingers are inexpensive and very powerful.
- 9. War Trolls are good fighters and more importantly, regenerating.
- 10. The teleporting Great Wyrm is able to kill most units in a single
- blow, but is helpless against flying armies.

- In the "M"agic screen hold down the alt key and type alt-POWER to be
- able to cast every spell that are learnable, including the Spell of
- Mastery.
- You will also get a fair amount of mana.
- But all of the wizards get this also.

- By pressing alt-REVEAL, you will get to see everything on the map,
- and so will all the wizards.
- But you must exit the "M"agic screen and re-enter it for this effect.
