  3.  1. The size of a population can be increased by lowering the tax rate 
  4.     or increasing the rations.

  15.     than any other and cheaper than raising your own troops.
  16.  8. When fighting large enemy armies, recruit knights.
  17.  9. The best method of "attacking" castles is to blockade them and 
  18.     letting the enemy starve.
  19. 10. Do not try  to occupy a province unless you already have at least 
  20.     500 gold in your treasury.
