  2. ^^1^^FC defines various shortcuts, called Hot Keys, to speed up some operation or to access various functionalities.
  3.  
  4. It is very important, to use proficiently the system to know them.   
  5. ^^2^^Lets start with the Hot Keys that may be used on the main list:   
  6. ^^3^^The DEL key delete the currently selected element (or remove it from a folder),   
  7. ^^4^^With TAB (or SHIFT-TAB) you move the focus between windows.   
  8. ^^5^^With RET you open the selected document   
  9. ^^6^^With F7 you dial the telephone number contained in the record   
  10. ^^7^^With F12 you move a record from the child or father window to the main window   
  11. ^^8^^Recapitulating:
  12. CR open
  13. DEL cancel
  14. F7 Dial
  15. F12 bring to main
  16. TAB, SHIFT-TAB change Focus   
  17. ^^9^^One special list, the deleted element list, has another key defined: INS.
  18. It recovers the deleted element.   
  19. ^^10^^Also the calendar has defined a set of hot keys:         
  20. ^^11^^DEL delete the element   
  21. ^^12^^F7 dial the number of a, possible, father   
  22. ^^13^^Arrow up, Arrow down move the item   
  23. ^^14^^SHIFT Arrow-Up, SHIFT Arrow-Up increase the item   
  24. ^^15^^CTRL Arrow-Up, Arrow-Down decrease the item   
  25. ^^16^^F12 bring the Item to the main list   
  26. ^^17^^Page-Up, Page-Down scroll the calendar   
  27. ^^18^^Finally the PRINT-SCREEN key prints the calendar for the day.  
  28. ^^19^^Recapitulating:
  29. CR opens
  30. TAB, SHIFT-TAB move between calendar entries.
  31. DEL deletes
  32. Arrow Up, Down move the entry
  33. SHIFT Arrow Up, Down increase the entry
  34. CTRL Arrow Up, Down decrease the entry
  35. Page Up, Down scroll the calendar
  36. F7 dials the father number
  37. F12 moves the item to the main list
  38. PRINT SCREEN prints the calendar for the current day.

  40. Additionally: clicking the right mouse button over an entry the list of fathers appears.

  42. ^^20^^Also the fields in the forms have a set of Hot keys.   
  43. ^^21^^On ANY edit field F8 inserts the today date in short format, F9 the today date in long format.  
  44. ^^22^^In comment fields ALT-M maximises the field  
  45. ^^23^^ALT-M again minimizes the field  
  46. ^^24^^On a date field F2 calls a little calendar.  
  47. ^^25^^This calendar may be used to select a new day.
  48. Note PAGE-Up, PAGE-Down change the month.  
  49. ^^26^^The Date controls are 'Intelligent'.
  50. I.e. they understand: 
  51. W as this week Wednesday.
  52. 14 as this month 14th.
  53. F 12 as 12th of February.  
  54. ^^27^^The telephone fields 'contains' a data base with all the major area and country codes.

  56. ^^28^^To call the country codes Data base use F4  
  57. ^^29^^Select the country you want, then with Left arrow, drill down to select the area code.  
  58. ^^30^^See how the tel # is updated.  
  59. ^^31^^With F5 you directly drill down to the area codes data base.  
  60. ^^32^^Note as the tel # changes.  
  61. ^^33^^To set up the modem parameters use the Customisation Modem menu option or just press F6.  
  62. ^^34^^To set the localisation info use F8 or the Customisation Location menu option.  
  63. ^^35^^To add item to a list open it and then press INS.
  64. (To delete an item DEL).  
  65. ^^36^^Resuming:

  67. F8 short Date
  68. F9 long date.
