  1.           WWWOFFLE - World Wide Web Offline Explorer - Version 2.1

  4. These files are startup scripts for use with Debian, Redhat or Slackware Linux
  5. systems that will start wwwoffle when the computer is booted and kill it when
  6. the computer is shutdown.

  8. There are also additions to the files used by pppd that are run when the link is
  9. connected and disconnected to set  the wwwoffled demon online and offline.
  10.  
  11. Note: I did not write or check all of these scripts, they were supplied to me by
  12.       the authors named below.

  62. If you have a Slackware system (or other BSD style system) then you can start
  63. wwwoffled by putting it in the rc.local file.  The slackware-rc.local file
  64. should be appended to the /etc/rc.d/rc.local (or /etc/rc.local) file.

  66. It is not important that the wwwoffled demon is killed when the computer is
  67. shutdown.

  76. If you use PPP then there will be scripts that the pppd program will run when
  77. the link is connected and before it is disconnected.  These can be used to set
  78. the wwwoffled demon online and offline automatically and to fetch the pages that
  79. have been requested.

  81. The file ppp-ip-up should be appended to the /etc/ppp/ip-up file and the
  82. ppp-ip-down file should be appended to the /etc/ppp/ip-down file.
