  11. Birdie is a hack that gives you datatypes loaded patterns in
  12. the window border of windows open on the default public screen
  13. (WB) (or all screens, if you set the 'PublicScreens' flag)

  17. Birdie has a command line interface and Birdie Prefs provides a
  18. preferences interface to spare you to edit your Startup-Sequence or
  19. your User-Startup.

  21. Birdie Prefs has the following features:

  23. * Uses the traditional env: envarc: dirs to save the preference file, now
  24. loading is a lot faster. You can use your settings, so that when you reset
  25. the default configuration is back.

  27. * You can test the configuration without exiting the preferences program
  28. with a 'test' button.

  30. * When you change the configuration, Birdie is broken and started
  31. again so that you can see the results at once (although there are
  32. some seconds to wait because Birdie must load the patterns)
