Background
~~~~~~~~~~
This tool was created for the usage with DOpus 5.x, but it
can also be used in lower verions of DOpus or any other
dir utils, or from cli (sucker :) ). You can't use it from
workbench ! It is a pure cli util !
I've written this program, because I wasn't able to find any
program which did, what I wanted, an easy and fast and small
util, that was able to extract a File_ID.Diz of an archive and
then display this in an attractive form. I'm sure there are
such utils, but I couldn't find them, so I had to work 15 mins.
phew :)
This tool was created using GadToolsBox and MaxonC++ 4.0 Pro.
GadToolsBox is (c) by Jan van den Baard, MaxonC++ is (c) by
Maxon Computer GmbH.
Installation
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just copy the program to your C: directory and then add it to
your dir utils environment. Look in your manual how to do this.
Copy all commands in the C directory to your C:.
That's all
Usage
~~~~~
Just type the program's name and add the complete path to the
archive, which File_ID.Diz you want to see. If a Diz was found,
it will be displayed by AutoDiz in a window, centered on your
workbench. If no description was found a Screenflash will appear.
Requirements
~~~~~~~~~~~~
You'll need following commands:
- Lha
- Lzx
- DMSDescript
- TxtExtract
- unzip (v5.32)
These commands are required to extract the File_ID.Diz of the
specified filetype ! If you don't have one of these commands,
AutoDiz won't be able to extract the diz-file.
