  12.           and some classics like lenna and mandril.

  14. movies/*    - Some movies produced by the VORT raytracer (VORT 8-bit
  15.           colourmapped format)
  16. contrib/*    - various thing that have been sent to us. At the moment this
  17.           mainly consists of input files (scenes, geometry files,
  18.           tilepatterns, and a whole lot of usefull furniture items)
  19.           for art (the VORT raytracer) - see the subdirectory artscenes.
  20.           If you grab VORT this is a must get.

  24. nff2art1.0.c    - Convert NFF files to (old art) art 1.0  input files
  25. nff2art2.0.c    - Convert NFF files to (new art) art 2.0  input files

  38. vogle.tar.gz    - A device independent 3D graphics library.

  40. voglew.zip    - Vogle compiled for windoze. (BC++ 2.0)
  41. vogl.tar.gz    - A device independent 3D graphics library based on VOGLE that
  42.           tries to be a subset of SGI-GL. If you write programs using
  43.           VOGL then they should work unchanged on an SGI.

  45. vopl.tar.gz    - A graph plotting library and program using vogle (only 2D yet)
  46. vopl_patch.1    - A patch to gpp to stop it barfing when it finds blank lines
  47.           at the end of the file.
  48. vopl_patch.2    - Fix to the above fix.
  49. vvopl.tar.gz    - An Iris GL version of vopl.
  50. vort.tar.gz    - The whole lot of what is in the vort directory above. 
  51.           This is the *most* up to date version, the patches do not
  52.           need to be applied.
  53. gzip-1.2.4.tar    - the source for gzip, which uncompresses the .gz files.
  54. ArtForTheMac.sea.Hqx - Macintosh version of art with display program, beta
  55.         release.

  60. offfile.ftpsites - ftp sites with off files useful in vort.
  61. vorttoppm.c    - Converts VORT files to ppm files (doesn't need pbmplus)

  64. simplex.c    - A simple X11 'hello, world' program (origin unknown)
  65. athena/eBones-p9.tar.gz    - Eric's (Bond Uni) version of MIT's Kerberos/bones
  66.               with his own DES code and all the auth. code re installed.

  73. hershey.tar.gz    - The Hershey font library taken from VOGL (see above).
  74.           Runs with VOGL or SGI-GL.

  76. libRT.tar.gz    - a ray tracing library with a parser for the NFF grammer.
  77.         Has several different acceleration techniques in it and
  78.         should be relatively simple to add more, useful for people
  79.         investigating ray tracing...

  81. seattle.txt    - the text of a letter sent by the American Indian Chief, 
  82.         Seattle, to the president of the United States, in 1854.
