  8.        sgmlsasp - translate output of sgmls using ASP replacement
  9.        files

  11. SYNOPSIS
  12.        sgmlsasp [-n] replacement_file...
  13.  
  14. DESCRIPTION
  15.        sgmlsasp translates the standard input using the  specifi-
  16.        cation  in  replacement_file...   and writes the result to
  17.        the standard output.  The standard input must  be  in  the
  18.        format  output by sgmls.  Each replacement file must be in
  19.        the format of an Amsterdam SGML parser  (ASP)  replacement
  20.        file;  this  format is described in the ASP documentation.
  21.        Duplicate  replacements  are  silently  ignored.   The  -n
  22.        option  disables  upper-case  substitution  (folding)  for
  23.        names in replacement files; this  option  should  be  used
  24.        with concrete syntaxes that do not specify upper-case sub-
  25.        stitution for general names (that is, names that  are  not
  26.        entity names).

  29.        References  to  external data entities are ignored.  (Sup-
  30.        port for external data  entities  is  not  implemented  in
  31.        ASP.)
