Game installs on icon bar. Click on icon to play game. To return to desktop
press escape whilst title or high score screen is shown.
Instructions
------------
Create complex molecules out of individual atoms which have no free electrons
when joined.
Keys:
Z - Left
X - Right
' - Up
/ - Down
Return - Place atom
Space - Rotate atom
P - Pause
Escape - Abort game
The standard Acorn Joystick SWI is supported by Atomix. RTFM Joysticks
can be used by selecting the appropriate option from an icon bar submenu.
The RTFM module must be loaded for this option to work. Options to change
sound fx, music, volume and display options are also available and can be
saved.
The Board
---------
The board allows for 7x8 or 56 atoms. To the top left, above the board is
the current score. Beneath this is a status field which tells you the
minimum size of molecule to construct as well as the number of molecules left
to assemble and the current number of atoms on the board. To the right of
the board is a pit into which the atoms fall - slowly at first but the speed
will increase as you progress through the levels. The pit can hold up to 6
atoms.
Joker Atom
----------
Occasionally a joker atom appears in the pit which has no electrons and thus
no determined number of free bonds. You can place it anywhere you choose,
but it must be able to bond with at least one other atom, if it doesn't it
will immediately be withdrawn from the screen.
Game Over
---------
The game is over when a seventh atom falls into the pit. Atoms must be
placed on the board at a sufficient rate to prevent this.
