- I will try to explain the most important things to get started with
- TakeTracker in this file since most of you don't read the doc anyway
-
- 1st, the keys that will be most used is "/" and "*" on the numeric
- keypad (at least they've got those labels on my Norwegian keyboard).
- They are the buttons next to the Num Lock toggle.
- These shift the channels to the left or right.
-
- But sometimes when you load a module, you can shift more than the
- maximum number of channels in the module. If you for instance wants
- to add a channel to you module, enter the MODULE EDIT MENU and
- increase the number of channels to use. TakeTracker saves the
- module with the new number of channels when next save.
-
- 2nd, remember to run SETUP.EXE to configure TakeTracker! (needs mouse!)
-
- The disk. op is easy to use. You have to use the arrow keys to
- move file-list up/down (I've had many complaints from mouse-lovers :)
-
- New words (for some users):
- MODULE - A song file which contains all sounds, notes ...
- SAMPLE - Just a simplified name of instrument.
- TRACK - One track consist of 64 notes and effects. You can create
- songs with up to 16 tracks per pattern in TakeTracker 0.9.
- PATTERN - One pattern can consist of up to 16 tracks. This is
- sometimes also called "block".
-
- Well, this file didn't get so short as I hoped for, but anyway...
- Enjoy TakeTracker... And remember to register (if available)...
