  11. System Requirements:

  13. This program requires an IBM PC or compatible with at least VGA.
  14. In general, faster systems will run the program more efficiently.
  15.

  17. Sound Blaster Notes:
  18. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  19. This program contains routines to play digital sound on a Sound
  20. Blaster or compatible card.  However, this program does NOT
  21. contain autodetection routines.  This program relies upon the
  22. BLASTER= variable being set appropriately in your environment.
  23. If the BLASTER= variable is set incorrectly, the program may
  24. crash.  If the BLASTER= variable is absent the program will
  25. NOT attempt to use Sound Blaster sound.
  26.  
  27. Additionally you will need to have free EMS memory to hear
  28. all digital sounds (they're too big to fit in conventional
  29. memory).  The sounds deemed "most important" to game play
  30. will be loaded into conventional memory on a first-come, first-
  31. served basis.  To hear ALL sounds you will need enough EMS
  32. free to fit the file ROXSFX.DBO.  Check free EMS with the
  33. MEM command under DOS.

  44. NOTE:   ALL of the above keys are active all of the time, allowing
  45.         a wide range playing combinations.  Experiment to find what
  46.         works best for you.

  48. Hint:   I recommend using the [Z] and [X] keys for rotation,
  49.         the [Alt] key for thrusters, and the [Ctrl] key for firing,
  50.         leaving [Space] handy for hyperspace when needed in an
  51.         emergency.

  67. Your mission is to maneuver through the hostile Roxx belts and
  68. destroy as many Roxx as you can.  Hindering your efforts will
  69. be enemy craft which navigate the Roxx belts and take shots at
  70. your ships, as well as at nearby Roxx, in an attempt to destroy
  71. your space ship.  They are worth a lot of points if you shoot
  72. them.

  74. Note that due to a bizarre space warpage, travelling off the
  75. edge of the universe will cause objects to reappear on the
  76. opposite side of the universe.  This may be used to great
  77. advantage in ambushing enemy space ships, which are immune
  78. to this bizarre warpage.

  80. Hint:   By shooting many SMALL enemy ships in a row, you may be
  81.         able to earn a MORE POWERFUL WEAPON!  Try it out...
