On the naval front, the company's Mk8 Gun Mod 0 naval gun upgrades and new Mod 1 mountings are under manufacture for the Royal Navy whilst new 155mm naval guns are in the pipeline. Work continues supporting Seadart and other launcher upgrades.
At the close of year 2000, RO Defence secured a long-term agreement with the UK MoD for the supply of ammunition and explosives - a £1bn over 10 year agreement enabling the business to plan against a stable workload.
