SHORT DESCRIPTION FOR SHAREWARE CATALOGS

Test your logic and deduction AGAINST your computer.  PC-Sherlock is
"Mastermind with a difference". Here, unlike other mastermind games,
your computer actually competes with you to deduce the secret number.
And, it plays like a pro! The Game is presented in graphics where you
and your computer must determine each other's secret number using
pure logic. Complete On Line tutorial is provided. The rules of the
game are simple, but the play can be deceptively complex. Please do
not miss a chance to see your computer turn into a clever opponent.
Runs on IBM compatibles with HGA, EGA, or, VGA graphics. Requires DOS
3.1 or later.


INTRODUCTION

PC-Sherlock is a 'brain' Game, involving logical reasoning and
deduction.  You and your PC play against each other to deduce each
other's secret number. PC-Sherlock presents your PC as an extremely
intelligent player and it is tough to win against it.  Of course,
every advantage is given to the human player to ensure that good
players can really win against PC. Surprisingly, the Game becomes
more and more exciting as you learn to apply your logic in a more
skillful manner. Of course, the Game is random and there is no fixed
strategy or formula to win. So the Game remains exciting even after
thousands of plays.

Complete Online Tutorial is available in the program.

For more information, startup the program by typing 'Sherlock' at DOS
prompt and choose option 'Tutorial' from Main menu. Tutorial also
contains information on "What is new in this version".


HARDWARE :

For IBM PC compatibles ( Minimum 256 K memory ) with Hercules (
monochrome), EGA, VGA or SVGA Graphics Adapters.

PC-Sherlock does not support MDA & CGA Graphics adapters.


HOW TO START THE PROGRAM :

Type 'Sherlock' at DOS prompt.

( If you are starting for the first time, it is suggested that you
first go thorugh the Tutorial to get an understanding of the Game and
various menu options.)

PC-Sherlock is a Shareware program. That means you are expected to pay a
registration fee to the author in order to continue using this
software beyond the initial trial period of thirty days. Remember, the
author is not compensated for his efforts if you do not register.
