  25. INSTALLING CLOCKMAN
  26. ====================
  27. Installing ClockMan is simple:
  28.  
  29. 1) Run SETUP.EXE.  Setup will let you choose the destina-
  30.    tion directory and which parts of the ClockMan package
  31.    you wish to install (i.e. program files only, .HLP file,
  32.    converter utility, etc.).
  33.  
  34. 2) Run CLOCKMAN.EXE.  It comes with an alarm file already
  35.    filled with sample alarms for you to try.
  36.  
  37. 3) Choose Help from the System menu to read our comprehen-
  38.    sive online manual.

  41. PACKING LIST
  42. ============
  43. Your ClockMan distribution diskette contains the following
  44. files:

  46. (root dir)
  47. SETUP.EXE     The ClockMan setup program.
  48. SETUP.INF     A configuration file for SETUP.EXE.
  49. V1.0          A placeholder file that identifies the
  50.               current version.
  51. LZEXPAND.DLL  Used by Setup to expand the really big files
  52.               we've compressed.
  53. CLOK-CHG.TXT  A list of enhancements and bugfixes since the
  54.               last release.
  55.

  57. CLOCKMAN.EX$  The ClockMan program file.
  58. JSTART.EX$    JumpStart - a handy little thank-you utility
  59.               which will be activated once you register

  74. ClockMan is currently being marketed as shareware.  If you
  75. register the program you'll receive these remarkable

  105.                        EVALUATION AGREEMENT
  106. ===========================================================
  107. ClockMan is not and has never been public domain software,
  108. nor is it free software.
  109.  
  110. Non-licensed users are granted a limited license to use
  111. ClockMan on a 30-day trial basis for the purpose of deter-
  112. mining whether ClockMan is suitable for their needs.  The
  113. use of ClockMan, except for the initial 30-day trial,
  114. requires registration.  The use of unlicensed copies of
  115. ClockMan by any person, business, corporation, government
  116. agency or any other entity is strictly prohibited.
  117.  
  118. A single user license permits a user to use ClockMan only
  119. on a single computer at a time.
  120.  
  121. No one may modify or patch the ClockMan executable files in
  122. any way, including but not limited to decompiling, disas-
  123. sembling, or otherwise reverse engineering the program.
  124.  
  125. A limited license is granted to copy and distribute
  126. ClockMan only for the trial use of others, subject to the
  127. above limitations, and also the following:
  128.  
  129. 1) ClockMan must be copied in unmodified form, complete
  130.    with the file containing this license information.
  131.  
  132. 2) The full machine-readable ClockMan documentation must be
  133.    included with each copy.
  134.  
  135. 3) ClockMan may not be distributed in conjunction with any
  136.    other product without a specific license to do so from
  137.    Graphical Dynamics.
  138.  
  139. 4) No fee, charge, or other compensation may be requested
  140.    or accepted, except as authorized below:
  141.  
  142.    A) Operators of electronic bulletin board systems
  143.       (sysops) may make ClockMan available for downloading
  144.       as long as the above conditions are met.  An overall
  145.       or time-dependent charge for the use of the bulletin
  146.       board system is permitted as long as there is not a
  147.       specific charge for the download of ClockMan.
  148.  
  149.    B) Vendors of user-supported or shareware software
  150.       approved by the ASP may distribute ClockMan, subject
  151.       to the above conditions, without specific permission.
  152.       Non-approved vendors may distribute ClockMan only
  153.       after obtaining written permission from Graphical
  154.       Dynamics.  Such permission is usually granted.
  155.       Vendors may charge a reasonable disk duplication and
  156.       handling fee.

  160.                WARRANTIES AND DISCLAIMERS

  163. LIMITED WARRANTY
  164. ================
  165. Graphical Dynamics guarantees your satisfaction with this
  166. product for a period of 90 days from the date of original
  167. purchase.  If you are unsatisfied with ClockMan within that
  168. time period, return the package in saleable condition to
  169. the place of purchase for a full refund.  Graphical
  170. Dynamics warrants that all disks provided are free from
  171. defects in material and workmanship, assuming normal use,
  172. for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase.
  173.  
  174. Graphical Dynamics warrants that the program will perform
  175. in substantial compliance with the documentation supplied
  176. with the software product.  If a significant defect in the
  177. product is found, the Purchaser may return the product for
  178. a refund.  In no event will such a refund exceed the
  179. purchase price of the product.
  180.  
  181. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, GRAPHICAL DYNAMICS DISCLAIMS ALL
  182. WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT
  183. LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND
  184. FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH RESPECT TO THE
  185. PRODUCT.  SHOULD THE PROGRAM PROVE DEFECTIVE, THE PURCHASER
  186. ASSUMES THE RISK OF PAYING THE ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY
  187. SERVICING, REPAIR, OR CORRECTION AND ANY INCIDENTAL OR CON-
  188. SEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.  IN NO EVENT WILL GRAPHICAL DYNAMICS BE
  189. LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMIT-
  190. ATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTER-
  191. RUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION AND THE LIKE) ARISING
  192. OUT OF THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT EVEN IF
  193. GRAPHICAL DYNAMICS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF
  194. SUCH DAMAGES.  THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC
  195. LEGAL RIGHTS.  YOU MAY HAVE OTHERS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE
  196. TO STATE.

  198. Use of this product for any period of time constitutes your
  199. acceptance of this agreement and subjects you to its
  200. contents.  This agreement is governed by the laws of the
  201. State of Washington.

  203. U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS

  205. This product is provided with restricted rights.  Use,
  206. duplication, or disclosure by the government is subject to
  207. restrictions set forth in subdivision (c)(1)(ii) of the
  208. Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at
  209. 48 CFR 252.227-7013, or in subdivision (c)(1) and (2) of
  210. the Commercial Computer Software--Restricted Rights clause
  211. at 48 CFR 52.27-19, as applicable.  The contractor/
