1.0 Introduction
This ZIP file contains ATI's 2.08 release of a software MPEG driver
designed for the mach64-based graphics accelerator products for use under
Windows 95.
->> Prior to installing the software MPEG, WINDOWS 95 MUST <<-
->> BE CONFIGURED for the mach64 2.08 display drivers. <<-
*****************************
2.0 System Requirements
While this application will run on most systems, ATI recommends a minimum
of a P5-75 with 8MB of RAM and PCI-bus for good quality playback of MPEG
videos.
This product requires a mach64 PCI or VLB graphics accelerator. ISA cards
and VLB cards with the aperture disabled are not recommended for MPEG
playback.
Windows 95 must be configured with the 2.08 mach64 display driver before
installing the software MPEG Player.
NOTE: If you have download the ATI mach64 2.08 display drivers, DO NOT
UNZIP THE FILE to the directory containing the ATI Player. A new
temporary directory must be created e.g. C:\ATIWIN95.

3.0 Installation Notes
1. Ensure that you have a copy of PKUNZIP.EXE 2.04G. PKUNZIP is available
on most BBS and information services, including the ATI BBS and
CompuServe.
2. Start Windows 95.
4. Start a MS DOS prompt.
5. Unzip 64MPG208.ZIP into a temporary directory on your hard disk. For
example:
MD \ATIMPEG
PKUNZIP 64MPG208.ZIP \ATIMPEG
6. Exit the MS DOS prompt, and return to the Windows 95 desktop.
7. Select Run from the Start icon.
8. Type C:\ATIMPEG\SETUP.EXE in the text entry area. Press OK.
9. Follow the screen instructions to completion.
->> Where the instructions refer to A:\, replace it with the <<-
->> directory containing the downloaded drivers e.g. C:\ATIWIN95.<<-
10. Windows 95 MUST BE RESTARTED FOR THE MPEG PLAYER TO WORK.
11. Once the driver has been installed, you can delete the contents of the
temporary directory (DEL \ATIMPEG\*.*) and delete the directory itself
(RD \ATIMPEG).
12. We recommend that you keep a copy of the ZIP file, 64MPG208.ZIP, in
case you need to install the player again.
