  11. The drivers contained in the directory \WINNT is for the

  13.         Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter(LNE100TX v4)

  15. They are used with Microsoft Windows NT Release 3.51 or 4.0 on the X86
  16. platform. The driver named LINKSYS conforms to the Network Driver Interface
  17. Specification (NDIS) 3.0 & 4.0.

  47. Installing driver on Microsoft Windows NT 3.51
  48. ----------------------------------------------
  49.   1. From the Main group of NT, choose the Control Panel icon.
  50.  
  51.   2. From the Control Panel window, choose the Network icon.
  52.  
  53.   3. From the Network Settings dialog box, choose the Add Adapter button.
  54.      The Add Network Adapter dialog box appears.
  55.  
  56.   4. From the list of network cards, select "<other> Requires disk from
  57.      manufacturer", and then press <Enter> button.
  58.  
  59.   5. Insert this driver disk in drive A, enter drive and pathname A:\ and
  60.      then choose the OK button.
  61.  
  62.   6. In the Select OEM Option dialog box, you will see the following 
  63.      products in the menu, select the exact product and use the OK button
  64.      to install it.

  68.   7. And then Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter Setup dialog box appear,
  69.      you must specify "Media Type" of the adapter plugged in your PC. Because 
  70.      netcard detection function does not support in SETUP program, please
  71.      make sure these settings match your adapter's configuration. Otherwise
  72.      the network ability of Windows NT can not work properly.

  92.   8. After that, installation is completed. LNE100TX adapter becomes one of 
  93.      the Installed Adapter Cards and the driver becomes one of the Installed
  94.      Network Software.
  95.      You can see: "[x]Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter(LNE100TX v4)" 
  96.      within the Installed Adapter Cards menu and "Linksys LNE100TX Fast 
  97.      Ethernet Adapter(LNE100TX v4)" within the Installed Network Software menu.

  99.   9. Now, the SETUP program has already copied LNE100TX.SY_ from the 
  100.      A:\WINNT\WNT35 directory to C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\LNE100TX.SYS and
  101.      the OEMSETNT.INF from A:\ to C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32 but renamed it to 
  102.      another installation information file (like OEMNAD??.INF). So the next
  103.      time, if you want to add FASTNIC adapters to your system, you do not 
  104.      need the floppy diskette again.(You can skip the file copy operation of
  105.      inserting floppy diskette again)

  107.      NOTICE!!    C:\WINNT is the directory where your NT O.S. is located.

  110.  10. To complete network installation, remember to bind the adapter to
  111.      transport drivers by choosing the "Bindings" button under the Network
  112.      Setting dialog box.

  114.  11. After restarting your system, you will acquire network service.

  118. Installing driver on Microsoft Windows NT 4.0
  119. ---------------------------------------------
  120.   1. Click the "Start" command button, select the "Settings" icon to display
  121.      an option list under it.

  123.   2. Click the "Control Panel" icon.

  125.   3. Double-click the "Network" icon.
  126.  
  127.   4. Select the "Adapters" item, then click the "Add..." button in the
  128.      "Network" dialog box.

  130.   5. Click the "Have Disk..." button in the "Select Network Adapter" dialog
  131.      box.

  133.   6. Insert the Driver Diskette in your floppy drive. Enter the full 
  134.      pathname A:\ of the driver installation information file (OEMSETNT.INF)
  135.      in the "Insert Disk" dialog box, then click the OK button.

  137.   7. Select "Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter(LNE100TX v4)", 
  138.      then click the OK button in the "Select OEM Option" dialog box.

  140.   8. And then Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet Adapter(LNE100TX v4) Setup dialog box
